Kevin Harvick and JEGS Forge Truck Series Partnership

06/23/10

DELAWARE, Ohio (June 23, 2010) — Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) announced today that JEGS Mail Order will sponsor team co-owner Kevin Harvick’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series entry at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 18th. The announcement, made at the JEGS world headquarters and distribution center outside Columbus, Ohio, revealed the JEGS paint scheme which Harvick will run on the No. 2 Chevrolet Silverado at the Loudon, New Hampshire track.

“To have Kevin Harvick represent JEGS Mail Order is going to be fantastic,” said Vice President John Coughlin, one of four Coughlin brothers that own and operate JEGS. “One of my favorite racing memories was the 2007 Daytona 500 when Kevin won the granddaddy of them all. We’ve been a part of his organization ever since. This is something we’ve been trying to put together for awhile and it finally worked out for us.”

The KHI partnership announcement comes amidst the JEGS Mail Order 50th anniversary celebration, which the high-performance retailer has been celebrating throughout 2010 via consumer promotions such as the JEGS “Win This Car” contest promoted on the hood of the JEGS Pro Stock drag racing entry. As part of the promotion, one lucky JEGS fan will win a yellow and black 2010 Chevy Camaro.

“JEGS is celebrating 50 years this year and it’s an exciting time for our company, our associates and our loyal customers all over the world,” explained director of media and motorsports Scott “Woody” Woodruff. “We are giving away a car, we are going to put a bright yellow and black JEGS.com truck on the track with a championship-caliber driver behind the wheel, backed by a team that knows how to win and we are not even close to being done celebrating this year. It’s exciting to see us put our brand out in the public eye in different ways this year.”

Although JEGS has a deeply-rooted history in drag racing, which includes three generations of Coughlin family drag racers, the partnership with KHI will not be the company’s first foray into NASCAR racing. JEGS has served as a contingency sponsor in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for four years and added NASCAR Nationwide Series contingency sponsorship in 2010.

“I am happy to be announcing yet another new sponsorship partner for KHI,” said KHI co-owner and driver Kevin Harvick. “JEGS has had a longstanding presence in motorsports, both in sponsorship and with the Coughlin family’s drag racing teams. It means a lot that JEGS has chosen to expand their involvement in NASCAR by sponsoring the No. 2 Chevy Silverado.”

The No. 2 JEGS Mail Order Chevrolet can be seen on track in the September 18th running of the New Hampshire 175.
