KERNERSVILLE, N.C. (September 9, 2010) – For the second year in a row, Kevin Harvick Inc.’s (KHI) business-to-business partner initiative comes full circle as Armour Foods, a Pinnacle Foods brand, and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) team up to co-host a hospitality event on Friday, September 10, at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway (RIR) to entertain guests from Pinnacle Foods and veterans from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

“I’ve had the opportunity to go to Walter Reed and visit with the military there,” said co-owner Kevin Harvick. “Every time I have been, it has been an eye-opening experience. To see our sponsors work together to host some of our countries’ finest men and women at the race track makes me really proud to be associated with them. I’ve met some really big race fans through my visits to Walter Reed and I’m glad that we are able to invite them to Richmond to enjoy the race weekend and see some great racing under the lights.”

In addition to the support of Armour/Pinnacle Foods and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Chevrolet, Sitrin Health Care Center and Richmond International Raceway have also contributed to this event providing items for gift bags, monetary donations and help with tickets to the weekend’s race events.

“Pinnacle Foods Corporation and the Armour brand are very excited to be a part of the Wounded Warriors program and to be able to host, along with the Veterans of Foreign Wars, veterans from Walter Reed Army Medical Center,” said Eric Hintz, Vice President of Marketing. “We are happy that we can support the men and women who serve our country and allow us to do the things that we do every day.”

Armour Foods, a brand of Pinnacle Foods, will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 33 Chevrolet with two-time Nationwide Series champion Harvick for the Virginia College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway. The Friday night race will mark the third installment of NASCAR’s new Nationwide Series car, and the first time the car will run under the lights in competition.

“We’re extremely honored to be partnering with Pinnacle Foods in this effort to honor some of America’s greatest defenders. I can think of no group more deserving of our support than veterans from Walter Reed,” said VFW National Commander, Richard L. Eubank.

Guests from Walter Reed Medical Center, Pinnacle Foods and the Veterans of Foreign Wars will enjoy appearances from NASCAR personalities, food, pre-race activities followed by 250-laps of action packed racing as NASCAR’s best take to the short track of Richmond International Raceway for the 27th stop of the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series season.
