Kevin Harvick and the No. 4 Mobil 1 Chevrolet SS team will start Sunday’s GoBowling.com 400 from the sixth position after posting a lap time of 49.426 seconds and a speed of 182.090 mph in the final round of Friday’s qualifying session at Pocono Raceway.
Harvick ran the fourth-fastest lap in the first round of qualifying to advance to round two. He then posted the seventh-fastest time to move on to the final round. In the last five-minute session he ran the sixth-fastest lap time.
Kyle Larson scored the pole award for Sunday’s race with a fast lap time of 49.063 seconds and a speed of 183.438 mph. Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, Kurt Busch and Jeff Gordon complete the top-five starting positions.
Teams had an 80-minute practice session on Friday morning to prepare for qualifying. The No. 4 team started out in race trim and completed three runs before swapping over to qualifying trim. Harvick made two mock-qualifying runs and posted the sixth-fastest lap of the session on his second attempt.
On Saturday, teams will have two practice sessions to prepare for Sunday’s race. ESPN2 will provide live coverage at 9 a.m. ET and 11:30 a.m. ET.  

Harvick on qualifying at Pocono Raceway:  

“I had a good (Turns) 1 and 2, but got a little bit too low and got the car out of the track a little bit loose in (Turn) 3 and had to peddle it all the way from the center out. It was still a good lap. The guys have done a good job and we just have to get it right in race trim now.”

The following is the starting position of the other SHR teams in Sunday's race:

Kurt Busch and the No. 41 Haas Automation Chevrolet team will start fourth.
Danica Patrick and the No. 10 GoDaddy Chevrolet team will start 10th.
Tony Stewart and the No. 14 Code 3/Mobile 1 Chevrolet team will start 16th.
