Format:  Single vehicle, two rounds – sets front row for the Daytona 500

Pole Winner:  Chase Elliott of Hendrick Motorsports (46.663 seconds at 192.872 mph)

Outside Pole:  Dale Earnhardt Jr. of Hendrick Motorsports (46.665 seconds at 192.864 mph)

SHR Results:

• Clint Bowyer (4th, 46.736 seconds at 192.571 mph in Round 2)
• Kevin Harvick (7th, 46.829 seconds at 192.189 mph in Round 2)
• Kurt Busch (22nd, 47.017 seconds at 191.420 mph in Round 1)
• Danica Patrick (24th, 47.042 seconds at 191.318 mph in Round 1)

Format involved two rounds of knockout qualifying:

• Round 1:  All 42 drivers participate. Top-12 advance to Round 2.
• Round 2:  Top-12 battle for front-row starting spots in the Daytona 500. 

Notes:                   

• Only the front row is locked into the Daytona 500. Remainder of 40-car field will be set by results of Thursday’s Can-Am Duel.
• Bowyer will start second in Duel No. 2.
• Harvick will start fourth in Duel No. 1.
• Busch will start 11th in Duel No. 2.
• Patrick will start 12th in Duel No. 2.

Next Up:               

The Duel – twin 150-mile races which will set the rest of the Daytona 500 field – takes place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23 with live coverage on FS1. Speedweeks at Daytona then culminates with the Daytona 500 at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, with live coverage provided by FOX beginning with its pre-race show at 1 p.m.
