Four-Time Truck Series Champion Ron Hornaday Hunts for a Win at Martinsville Speedway with Armour Ca

10/18/10

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. (October 18, 2010) — Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) announced today that Armour Canned Meats and Kroger Mid-Atlantic Food Stores have teamed up to sponsor four-time Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway for the Kroger 200 on October 23, 2010.

Hornaday will make his 17th-career Truck Series start at Martinsville Speedway in October.  The 0.526-mile track in Virginia is one of only nine tracks on the current NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule in which the four-time Truck Series champion has yet to record a win.

“I can’t wait to get back to Martinsville, “said Hornaday. “I love short-track racing and Martinsville Speedway has some of the best on the circuit.  The No. 33 team has been so close to finally getting the win the past three years that we can feel it.  All I have to do is beat ‘the boss.’ [Kevin Harvick] We’ve gotten a bird’s eye view of Kevin’s bumper twice as he’s collected the checkered flag.  This time we hope he’s staring at a can of Vienna sausages (on my bumper) when we cross the finish line.

“I think this year we might have a little magic with Armour Canned Meats and Kroger Mid-Atlantic Food Stores coming on board for a special paint scheme,” added Hornaday.  “Every time the Armour paint scheme has been on the side of Kevin’s Nationwide Series car it has ended up in victory lane. We are hoping it brings us the same luck so we can collect the first Truck Series Grandfather Clock trophy from Martinsville.”

Armour Canned Meats is working to bring awareness to the Vienna sausage brand as the nation is in the midst of hunting season.  Vienna sausages are a great source of nutrition, and for the month of November, hunters can find cans that are conveniently packaged so they can pack them on their next hunting adventure.

Kroger Mid-Atlantic Food stores, a proud NASCAR and KHI supporter is pleased to team up with Armour Canned Meats to carry the camouflage color Vienna sausage can pack beginning in November in their Mid-Atlantic region.
