DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 13, 2014) – After a successful two-year partnership with Stewart-Hass Racing that has seen Outback Steakhouse deliver over 400,000 free Bloomin’ Onions® to race fans, Outback Steakhouse is pleased to announce that Bloomin’ MondayTM is back for 2014.

Kevin “Happy” Harvick, driver of the No. 4 Chevrolet SS will be the NEW face of the Outback Steakhouse Bloomin’ Monday promotion. Outback Steakhouse hopes to wish fans many “Happy” Bloomin’ Mondays” this season.

Whenever Harvick finishes in the top-10 of a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, fans can get a free Bloomin’ Onion at Outback Steakhouse on the Monday immediately following the race. Fans simply need to reference the promotion to their server to receive their Bloomin’ Onion. Harvick had 18 top-10s in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2013.

The race is on for a free Bloomin’ Onion beginning with the season-opening Daytona 500 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. Harvick won the 49th running of the Daytona 500 in 2007.

“I’m looking forward to being a part of many Bloomin’ Mondays at Outback Steakhouse,” said Harvick. “Every time I finish in the top-10 it will be great knowing that fans can go to Outback on Monday and get a free Bloomin’ Onion. I love that the partnership not only supports me, but also rewards the fans.”

Outback Steakhouse will be the primary sponsor of Harvick and the No. 4 team for two races in 2014 – at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway in April and Martinsville (Va.) Speedway in October. When not serving as a primary sponsor, Outback Steakhouse will be an associate sponsor with placement on the B-post of the No. 4 Chevrolet.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with Stewart-Haas racing and look forward to the return of Bloomin’ Mondays with new Outback Steakhouse driver Kevin Harvick,” said Mike Kappitt, chief marketing officer, Outback Steakhouse. “We’re excited and look forward to cheering Kevin on to many top-ten finishes, giving fans a lot of “Happy” Bloomin’ Mondays.”
