2001 NASCAR Nationwide Series

Kevin logged in a hefty amount of frequent flyer miles in 2001, traveling across the country - sometimes in one day - to complete his first full season of "double duty" (full Cup and Busch Series schedules.) He ran more races (70) than any other driver in the modern history of NASCAR. It suited him well, as he earned the Busch Series Championship this year. It was the first Busch Series championship for Richard Childress, who became the first owner to win a championship in each of NASCAR's three major series (Cup, Busch and Truck).
