Harvick
planning to focus more on Cup racing
Feb.

Scene Daily
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Kevin Harvick completed one of the most
dominant seasons in Busch Series history last year, winning
nine races and the championship by a record margin.
He also raced his way into the Chase For The Nextel Cup,
winning five races and finishing fourth in the point
standings.
But for 2007, Harvick is cutting back his Busch schedule,
running 14 races for Richard Childress Racing and 12 for his
Kevin Harvick Inc. team.
"I am really excited about how everything worked out," Harvick
said. "I am going to race at Montreal because I really enjoy
road racing. The rest of the races will be companion events. I
really like to be in the car when I have the opportunity.
Hopefully, we can win a couple of races and do somewhat as
good as we did last year."
Harvick is stepping back not because of the hassle of running
both schedules but to give his Cup effort more focus.
