  Q & A's with Kevin | March 4, 2008

Hi: Kevin I'm your biggest fan ever!!!!!!!! Why did you change your sponsor to SHELL? Right before you changed to Shell I got a really big 'fathead' of your Goodwrench car for my wall. I think you are the best NASCAR driver ever!! And next year you will win the Daytona 500 like last year!! Kevin I think you should look at my room, I have everything of you in my room. I even have your car of tomorrow car. I AM YOUR BIGGEST FAN EVER!  Kevin Keaveney - Age 10 - Pompton Plains, NJ

“Last year was exciting for us to have our own identity to do the things we have always done, just do them in our own colors now.  Everyone at Shell has been great. They have been 100% behind us at all times and I think that is what it takes from a sponsor to be successful in this series. It is going to be a great partnership and I am happy to have them on board for many more years to come.”

First of all I wish all the luck to Kevin and DeLana with the 08 season.  I feel this is Kevin's year.  Since KHI has Rheem on board will Kevin run more Nationwide races then the planed schedule this Season?  Bryan Slade, CMS

“The plan is to just keep it like it is.  I will run about 22 races or so this year in the Nationwide Series for KHI.  I just needed a different challenge.  I'm a person that has to have challenges, so I wanted to drive my own Nationwide car this season, and to be able to do that week in and week out is something that I'm really looking forward to.  It has been a pretty good season so far with two top-5 finishes in the first three races.  The No. 21 car was a lot of fun to drive for RCR last year, but I didn't have my hand in on everything.  I needed something that would give me that fulfillment of an accomplishment from the start to finish, and if we can do that with my Nationwide Car, it will be very rewarding.”

Kevin, you do such a great job doing commentary and you have a natural talent for it. Have you considered doing it on a regular basis when you retire in the very distant future? Stacy H. Indiana

“To tell you the truth, I really enjoyed being up in the Hollywood Hotel during the Budweiser Shootout. Even though I wish I was racing, it was still neat to be a special guest of FOX and commentate during the race. Right now, I still like being in a race car more than I like being in the broadcast booth. Maybe I’ll revisit that after my racing career is over, but that is going to be a long time from now.”
