Hello everybody, I just wanted to drop a line and say hello from a cold
North Carolina. I’ve been pretty very busy with Sprint Cup and Nationwide
testing in Daytona, and we’re off to the Vegas/Calif. tests next week. , So
far, I’ve been really excited about what I’ve seen. I think 2008 is going to
be a great year all the way around.
A lot of people have been asking about the race at Oxford Plains Speedway.
I’ve heard nothing but good things about the track and I’m really looking
forward to this opportunity. Some of the drivers that have competed at the
Speedway are Jeff Gordon, Bobby Allison, Kyle Petty, Dale Jarrett and Davey
Allison. If anyone has any free time on Sunday, July 20, 2008, stop by the
Oxford Plains Speedway for the TD Banknorth 250. For those of you who don’t
know, Oxford Plains Speedway is a 3/8-mile asphalt oval located on Route 26
in Oxford, Maine.
This week I made it a point to sit down and look over the data from last
weeks Daytona test. I really feel testing went great for not only my Sprint
Cup team, but for the KHI teams as well. The trucks have also been testing
quite a bit lately. Both Jack and Ron have really been impressive thus far.
I’m pretty pumped about the things going on at KHI this year.
I don’t get too excited about testing, but I have to admit I am pretty
energized about this trip. I always like visiting the west coast and grabbing
a bite to eat at my favorite fast food restaurant, DelTaco. I will be at the
Las Vegas Motor Speedway for three days of testing before heading to Southern
California and the California Speedway for the final two days.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and you’re looking forward to the
season starting as much as I am.
